yeah, we blog

Tonight, while Reid & I were out to dinner we were discussing our New Year’s Resolutions. Yes, I know it’s a little early, but I feel like it’s a big decision so really there’s no time like the present to begin formulating one.

I have two so far, “be better at birthdays” (I apologize if I missed your birthday this year, this resolution is obviously a conclusion I have come to after my horrible performance in years past - perhaps I should also include “be better at thank you notes”, but I don’t want to set the bar to high) and have better posture. Reid came up with “find a hobby”, “become a mountain man”, “base his life around his store” (I’ll tell you more about that later), or “pledge to be active”, which sounds more like a company wide slogan if you ask me.

With the “pledge to be active” also came the need for a “buddy,” or someone to motivate him to partake in active things, & hold him accountable. I volunteered myself, because I can yell great from the foot of a mountain, or Lucy who would love to feel the wind on her face during an early morning run. We could get one of those really hip running strollers - The BOB (this ones worth clicking on), or Phil & Ted’s “dash,” described as “Refined styling and intelligent function for the active urbanite,” which is what we would be if took the “pledge to be active” - but he didn’t go for either idea. He says he wants someone who will participate in activities with him not be a bystander or a tag-a-long. Any volunteers?

On a side note, while we were out to dinner tonight we noticed everyone had busted out their sweaters. It seems now that it is below 80 in Houston, that somehow warrents fall clothing. I will say, my mom & I bought lots of leggings today for Lucy to help her ease her wardrobe into fall.

.mac=lame

After spending several hours in our neighborhood apple store, speaking to many a genius and even a creative, who happened to be in town for a workshop, I have come to the conclusion that as straightforward and easy as mac usually is, .mac is not for me a.k.a. I have a problem that no one can fix. I’m sure Bill Gates is laughing somewhere in his mansion telling me “I told you so,” so wordpress it is! Check back for updates on our lives.
